The TaylorMade Burner SuperFast 2.0 Driver is newly shaped to deliver the benefit of Dual Crown Technology — designed to create a lower Centre of Gravity to promote a higher launch angle and lower spin-rate, the launch conditions that promote greater distance — but with a more conventional head shape. In addition, the TaylorMade Burner 2.0 incorporates a longer shaft, lighter weight and more usable face area.
A vital upgrade to the TaylorMade Burner SuperFast is the new Winn Lite grip that weighs just 25 grams, yet it sacrifices nothing in terms of feel and traction. At 279 grams, it is the lightest driver TaylorMade has ever produced. Also critical to the Burner SuperFast 2.0 driver's performance is its Matrix Ozik XCon 4.8 shaft, which is both ultra-light and tip-soft, helping the golfer generate more ball speed, a higher launch angle and more spin to promote more distance.
The Testing Phase
The one negative with this driver is that it has a white club head, which takes some getting used to. This is a new thing that started with putters to reduce glare and has worked its’ way into the drivers. However, if you can get past that and you actually take the club out for a test run you will find that you hit it further on center hits. It has been compared to a rocket launcher by a few testers.
It also gives you a good reliable length when you do not hit the sweet spot, which many golfers will appreciate. The other thing that takes some getting use to is the 46.5 inch shaft is made with, but if this bothers you it can be cut down by any local repair shop.

This driver is another one of the few that can work for any skill level of golfer. It is not made to target a specific handicap group, but instead it is made to target the golfers that need extra distance. Everything about the Taylormade Burner Superfast 2.0 screams distance and this is what you will get from this driver. If you could benefit greatly from an extra 10 to 15 yards and you have decent control from the tee, then this is a good addition to your golf bag.
